Makin’ It Happen has joined the Rx Abuse Leadership Initiative (RALI) of New Hampshire, a diverse coalition of New Hampshire organizations that has come together to identify solutions to help end opioid addiction and misuse across the state.  The association will help broaden RALI’s reach into New Hampshire communities and share best practices for prevention of youth substance misuse with other RALI partners.

Makin’ It Happen is an organization focused on creating a coordinated community response among individuals, organizations, businesses, and communities to promote behaviors that measurably improve the overall drug prevention, health and well-being of New Hampshire youth. Makin’ It Happen has been a member of Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) for 20 years.

“There are far too many stories of opioid misuse by New Hampshire youth having tragic outcomes.  When we create environments where youth receive support to achieve their maximum potential we can help prevent substance abuse and misuse and save lives. That’s why we’re excited to work with other state leaders on prevention measures, including safe disposal of unused prescription medications, to help address New Hampshire’s opioid crisis,” said Mary Forsythe-Taber, Executive Director and Substance Misuse Prevention Coordinator for Makin’ It Happen.
